Re: Invade & Annex Tanoa: Apex Edition
quiksilver is indeed currently developing the Tanoa Version, on the Apex preview build. so far it really is great.
I think most us us at TPG prefer slightly slower paced PVP, but I have really enjoyed playing with a small squad clearing dynamic objectives against AI in this Tanoa version so far.
Framerate can start suffer when in the middle of a freshly spawned AO after the server has been up for 5-6 hours, but i find it has been better than most a3 wasteland servers. And I'm told server performance can be increased with better hardware.
If your on the Apex preview, people should hop on and play a couple objectives. keep in mind that the adminship on the server is currently rather minimal and griefing and poor communication should not weigh in on your perception of the mission so much.

Re: Invade & Annex Tanoa: Apex Edition
There are two Escape missions on the box at the moment. One is the traditional Escape type mission where you start in a pen and have to fight your way out and find gear (up to 20 players). The other, and bear with me on this as I only saw the initial spawn area, is up to 8 players and when you start out you are fully geared and on the map are "?" of potential objects. Turtle or one of the other guys can probably give a more detailed explanation but I think I will hop on to give it a play thru.

Re: Invade & Annex Tanoa: Apex Edition
I gave this one a try solo... not sure how it works. I spawned in with an AI squad that did nothing. Hijacked a car and drove around the map only finding 2 tempests parked in random areas, and for enemies, only an armed ifrit and APC between the start location and the first objective (a solid 6-7 clicks away). Didnt seem to have anywhere near the action our current escape mod has.
