For king of the hill, we play on the hostile takeover servers, usually whichever one is full but has enough slots to join.
For smaller missions, we usually just have one of us host locally on a LAN match and just have everyone use the hamachi client to join. The free version of hamachi only supports 5 connections at a time though. I've got a machine at my brother's place that I was thinking of throwing a mission server on, though I haven't done so yet.

Are there AI missions going on? If so, go ahead and update it when you have the time. I just re-installed A3, as well as the Exile Mod (partly in hopes to help Phyre out). I ran into the same thing....could connect with a different Exile server, but got the same error message as Phyre on ours.

Your a little late to the party. The ARMA zombie craze revolved around the mod of DayZ. It was very popular. Dayz now is a stand alone. It began to lose its popularity in anticipation of the stand alone. The stand alone didn't do itself any favors with the alpha. The current ARMA mod with zombies is Breaking Point. It is one of the better mods and brings the best fps out of all the mods. It is slower. Not as many vehicles so mostly running the maps on foot. If you don't mind the slow play you love that mod.
