I tried them on and they are very comfortable and sound great. But 3 bills is a lot for headsets.

yes, for sure, I would hate to have to unplug 4 wires and the plug in my speakers everytime I wanted to change between headset and speakers

$300 is a bit steep. Seems like they're pretty well worth the cost, though.

Great review Imis - I'm with SBA, Manno, Kanati.... Too much for a headset unfortunately, I'd say I'll spending UPTO $120 - but no more, cant justify that.

I have to admit that the engineering within the psyko's seems to be awesome. As a designer, I tend to go for the sleek designs first, then quality, then price. For around the same amount of money, I would go with the Astro Gaming A40's, but have to admit that there is probably no better surround for gaming then the psyko's.

That isn't hard to do with Creative sound drivers on my sound card. Headphones plugged into the front panel sound card part, and speakers plugged in the back. I just have to hit a button in the audio control panel to switch between the two. Might even be able to Macro it on a keyboard, not sure though.

The quick answer is to buy three $2 splitter cables. One each (fronts, rears, center/sub) output for the Psykos, one output for the 5.1 room speaker system.

You are correct, but with these headsets, there are 4 plugs for real surround sound as well as it has it's own amplifier. It's very feasible for this company to add a switch as well as an extra 4 outputs as a pass through for surround speakers. If they did that, I think it would catapult this product to a top of the market product and well worth the $300.

On my laptop I use the X-Fi USB with the Psyko 5.1. Works great.
