But thats part of the Glory of Minecraf! its a sandbox and leaves the player to explore and discover all they want. Then its completly easy to look it up if you give up on it, but the person who wants to figure it all out on their own has lots of fun finding all the new things.
I know I was pretty happy the first time I hit a lava cavern, and then freaked out as I look a dip and burned it death

Graphix aren't everything yo. In fact they often suck away development time and resources from other more important things like complexity and all around fun, both of which Minecraft has in spades.
