    Texture help for TF2

Ive been trying the source sdk, and ive been getting better at making maps for tf2. But most of the textures i put, thier all streched, or they dont look like they would if it was a valve map. just wondering if anybody knew how to get good textures, or how to apply them
Me: "But the Gunslinger is so much more fun..."
Langrad: "We're here to win, not to..."
    Me: "Have fun?" "Hahaha"

hmmm, make sure it's scaled correctly, there are various controls for x/y scaling under the face edit tool

-invalid texture; make sure the texture's path is not something like materials/models/*

Model textures use a different lighting system. Thus when you try and use a model's texture on a brush, lighting is not calc'ed

With your Texture app tool (shift + a, me thinks) Click on the problem texture and make sure the textures x and y scales are set to .25. Texture scaling should only be used for minuscule scaling. Ex most textures at ment for 128u (1 story) if you had a wall say 130 or 124, i would recommend texture scaling, other wise things will look pixilated.

If you have any more questions or concerns just holla at me.
