Thread: requesting a custom banner for my site (will pay artist)

Hey guys, I am in need of some assistance. I am in the process of starting my very own hardware review site and need some help with a custom banner. What i am looking for is something simple, yet elegant, bold yet not too flashy. Catch my drift?

I was thinking something along the lines of the logos you see on either of these sites:
[H]ard|OCP - HardOCP Computer Hardware Reviews and News
(LOGO IS IN THE TOP LEFT CORNER)


or





(OBVIOUSLY NOT THEIR SPEED METER LOGO, JUST THE DESIGN ON THE NAMES WORDING)

Or maybe something like this: The name of the site and the first letter of each word. In my case the words to use are HardwareJunky


This is about as flashy as id like (again i dont want to copy the design, but it's the direction of the art I am interested in, if that makes any sense lol)




You get the picture right? Obviously i don't want someone to copy the above images. I am just using those sites as an example for what i am interested in. What i really focused on is the design that accompanies the name and not so much on a custom logo. Maybe sometime in the near future i will want that, or whenever i think of a cool logo for the site

Also, if you can also make a little icon to go along with the banner that would be awesome! (you know the icons that are found on the internet tab) For this, all i would need is a matching design to go with the banner. A neat little design with the letters H and J for the HardwareJunky name.


Finally; Payment. I will gladly pay anyone for their work. $25 sound good? For the banner and matching tab icon. I can send the money via paypal or if you dont use paypal im sure can agree on some sort of payment method.

This is my site, you will be replacing the banner that says Evertis Magazine, which seems to be 296px × 119px

Here's a quick one. The real version would be transparent so you can change your websites background to anything you want and it would still fit.
