12-05-10, 11:47 AM #1How to use TeamSpeak in conjunction with BC2
1) Download the TeamSpeak 3 Client at: TeamSpeak - Downloads
2) Install and Launch
3) Establish connection: Connections -> Connect
Note: You'll want to make your Nickname the same as your BC2 soldier name. This will allow for you to be auto-switched when your team changes.
4) You'll probably want to make a bookmark: Bookmarks -> Add to BookmarksYou can edit your bookmark and tell it to Connect on Startup.5) Once connected, you'll want to go to the Bad Company 2 channel. Then you can launch your game. After connecting into the server, you will be swapped to the appropriate team channel.

The ONLY way to get the auto team-switch script to work is if your TS3 name is identical to your BC2 name. If they are off even a little bit, then the script will not work for you, and you will be forced to change manually (its a pain).
Edit: Im an idiot and didn't read through WilE's entire post! Derp!Last edited by Dusk; 12-05-10 at 11:57 AM. Reason: ima idiot
Why no rank?
Because that isn't why or how I play.

Re: How to use TeamSpeak in conjunction with BC2
How to disable the "user had left your channel" and "user has joined your channel" sounds so you don't get totally spammed with them at every round change.
Go into "Settings" then "Options"
Then choose "Notifications"
Expand "Client" then "Switched" and "Moved".
Uncheck everything so it looks like this:
This is a fast and loose fix. It isn't perfect because you won't here notifications of new people joining the channel. But it this annoys you to no end, then this is how to disable it.Last edited by Arreo; 12-05-10 at 09:52 PM.

1) Download
- Download TSNotifier Version 1.3.6 (Installer)
http://tsnotifier.cfxxl.de/SetupTSNotifierV1.3.6.msi
- Download TS3 Helper Plugin for TSNotifier (12.09.2010)
http://tsnotifier.cfxxl.de/TS3Helper...s_20100912.zip
2) Install SetupTSNotifierV1.3.6.msi
3) UnZip TS3HelperPlugins_20100912.zip
If you have TS3 x32bit version :
- Copy the file TS3NotifierHelper_Win32.dll into team speak plugin folder (usualy at C:\Program Files (x86)\TeamSpeak 3 Client\plugins)
If you have TS3 x64bit version
- Copy the file TS3NotifierHelper_Win64.dll into team speak plugin folder (usualy at C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\plugins)
4) TSNotifier setup
Launch TSNotifier
Right click on TSNotifier in tray > Edit gamessettings.ini
Look for
[ExeFile.exe]
enabled=0
Change it for
[ExeFile.exe]
enabled=1
Restart TSNotifier
5) TS3 Setup
Be sure TSNotifier is started and properly setup (as per 4) before launching TS3
In TS3 go for Settings > plugins
Tick "TSNotifier Helper Plugin"
6) Launch EVE
Look at new nice overlay
7) Tweak the overlay
You can change color, overlay position, etc... just toy with it so you can get what you want.
Important !!!
To make every thing working you need each time to do :
Launch TSNotifier, then launch TS3 and then you can launch Eve.

Note: You'll want to make your Nickname the same as your BC2 soldier name. This will allow for you to be auto-switched when your team changes.
Also someone asked what the password is, Just join the BC2 Lobby and it will put you in the correct team channel.

Yes. Thanks for the clarifications insane. Yes. Join the BC2 channel (not the team channels) and you'll be auto-moved. May take a minute or two, but you'll get moved. Imis will be working on making improvements to the plug-in that will allow a bit more of a 'fudge factor' (such as case insensitivity and minor differences in spelling/spacing). It's the end of the semester, so he's tied up with schoolwork, but it's coming, slowly but surely.

Re: How to use TeamSpeak in conjunction with BC2
One thing I could like to suggest is when All-Talk goes on between maps/round changes for a voice clip to say "All-Talk On/Off"
At one point last night we started talking strategy when all talk was on, all the "play switched/moved" is not intuitive in knowing exactly when all talk is on or not.
