Re: Christmas Miracle
Nope.
We had a few trickle in, and trickle out, but we never got fully primed. I think there are plenty of people who want to play BF2 on TPG, but we don't have the 12 or so who will babysit the server until we reach critical mass. There are plenty of our old regulars on other servers. They bitch that those servers suck, but playing (and pwning) for an hour on a crap server is more fun than sitting for an hour on an un-primed server.
So what we have is a coordination problem.
Hmm.
I'll very likely be on tonight, thinking about how to solve that problem.
Cheers,

Concur per the coordination problem -- building on general.desolation's suggestion, I tried to get some sort of consensus on a day/time for TPG BF2 to regroup ( http://www.teamplayergaming.com/batt...f2-rounds.html ) ... but the sad fact is that even in the forum poll, we don't have enough agreement to get the required quorum of 8 players...
If the minimum player count was lowered to 6 players (even if that means making the server a 32 player max), we would have a starting point...
On an upside, we did have a n*ya visitor come by for a little while we were trying to prime :-D . People still remember us .

Re: Christmas Miracle
I don't think lowering the player count will lower the starter count. 8 is hard wired in somewhere. Dex has adjusted it to 6 in the past only for it to reset to 8 when the server restarts every morning. If a Web Admin or High could please double check me on that it would be greatly appreciated.
If there are truly people out there that want to play bf2 here then tell them to get posting. Set up the times as you have suggested and get things coordinated. Other wise they may only have those other servers to play on in the future.Last edited by loki2158; 01-03-12 at 12:12 PM.
