Priming in places like 2142 or such we would have knife fights sometimes, but when someone comes in with a gun and does want to put it away we can shoot him back just the same. At the same time I love to fly when I primed 2142, I would kill a bunch of people who came out, some people would leave, some people would stay, all the same it is all a matter of being friendly as opposed to being a dick.

If I want to stay in what I'm doing I'll make a game out of the obvious challenge that is taking out a vehicle such as myself. That entices people to stay around and try out their hand at what I'm doing.

Some people don't like infantry, some people don't like jets, some people don't like helicopters, some people don't like ground vehicles, you arn't going to please everybody. The problem of making the NO ARMOR declaration is that now you have given people a reason to leave. "Well gosh darn it these people are dicks, they didn't listen to that guy who didn't want armor" So what? Problem solve. Be a human. People can come and go as they please, all that you can do is stick around and keep on priming.
Hmmm.. I don't really see it that way. Armor makes it easier to cap flags and spawn lock the other team. Or it makes it easier for one person to do a lot of damage versus if they were on foot. This is just my opinion...

    Precisely.

Frag, I would pick a tank over foot any day of the week if im trying to get the job done, but during low population I instead choose not to deliberately punish the enemy with such an advantage.

Ill play my way, you play your way.

I see what you are getting at, but at the same time infantry are smaller targets and more mobile(IE can get into smaller places, more escape routes).

I think armor is more mobile because they can scoot about a map much faster and cap much faster. Plus, they have a higher capping power... 1 vehicle = two people or something?

Re: Gentlemen Rule is not a rule.

This was the thread I was referring to

    http://www.teamplayergaming.com/batt...greements.html

It's not about agreements in general, but agreements that violate already established rules, so Loki was right ; I was wrong.

I'm not really concerned either way. Even if I defended people who were using the armors earlier today, I don't use them. I'm not that much of a vehicle whore. However, I find it kind of harsh to bash on those you choose to do so.

Last year, I've passed countless hours priming the bf2 server. Overall, I may have played more often with less than 20 players than with more, without those agreements (and not on Seine Crossing sized maps). For that reason, my opinion might be biased, but I find it kind of hard to believe that some of you don't want to let people to play with the toys battlefield offers us, and/or won't prime for that very reason.

Look man.. Priming countless hours isnt the most fun thing to do... We all know that... but when you add insult to injury and have an entire fleet of armor gunning down 3 or 4 ppl over and over again......it makes priming not only difficult but aggravating as well.

I do prime whether or not there is armor being used.. Many ppl know that...but when it's endless onslaught of tank after tank, I along with many others may not prime as long.
