    Binding Mouse Buttons

After a complete reinstall (I got a new C drive), I can't seem to bind the side buttons on my mouse. Worked fine before, but now nada. I have tried reinstalling both the game and the setpoint software with no luck.

    Anyone else have this happen?

I had that with my microsoft mouse, until I enabled program-specific settings. Added BF3.exe with default mouse buttons, then it worked.

I'll state the obvious: In the binding section are you binding a "key" or a "mouse button" because Dice made it so theres 3 columns I believe Keyboard, Mouse, Joystick.

Yep, i think i have the same mouse as you and im having a similar problem. The wheel works to scroll weapons, and the forward side button binds to the primary weapon on every class. But the rear side button, which i bound to gadget 1 only brings the gadget up as assault and support, its dead as engi and recon. And the middle mouse button which i bound to gadget 2 does nothing on any class.

Also of note, i could not get logitec set point to install... so that might be my problem. Well, it installs, but it wont detect the mouse.

I'm there with you, I have a gigabyte m8000x fucking win7 keeps overriding my driver with a generic bs driver that won't recognize all the different buttons. I've tried uninstalling ,disabling and can't stop the bs driver install.

I just got the driver to install.

    Dex,
I followed the instructions posted by one of the Logitec mods.
SetPoint will not recognize G500 on Windows 7 x64 - Page 3 - Logitech Forums

The ridiculous part is that i have to start the program from the application file directly and run it as administrator. Setting it to startup automatically wont work.

Im going to log into game now and see if it makes a difference.

I know all that, it's driver related for me.

    Re: Binding Mouse Buttons

You can also use set point to bind a keystroke to a mouse button then bind the keystroke in game to the action you want the mouse button to do.

bind p to reload then in setpoint bind mouse 5 to p. hitting mouse 5 is actually p which is reload.
