What?
I see three links to videos in this thread. The first says it has been removed when I try to play it. The second is somebody being a jackass, and completely irrelevant to the rest of the thread. The third is the only SOFLAM/JAVELIN related video I was actually able to view.
The squad in the third video is a squad I'd want on my team every single time I play Firestorm. By "not giving a damn about captures", they were probably the reason their team won. At the beginning of the round, their team was struggling. Once they got entrenched and prevented the majority of enemy vehicles from leaving their main, the tide started to turn. No armor means no need for AT, which means more medics and more revives, which makes assaulting or defending any flag much easier. Their team turned it around and I think had control of four control points with another neutral at the end of the round.
Also, I fail to see how somebody using a SOFLAM qualifies as a whore. It's a thankless job that offers little compensation point-wise and is all about helping out your teammates.Too Much Damage, Mr_Blonde_OPS liked this post

Soflam works best I think if you have at least 4 full squads. Three to run flags and one to run soflam. Few people on and it's harder to dominate flags. The soflam squad should be:
1 recon with soflam/sniper rifle (only to protect yourself/soflam and maybe a few shots here and there). You should be actively controlling soflam to keep lock going
2 Eng's with javelins, hold one maybe two flags but basically take down any air and ground vehicles (air priority). One eng should be squad lead
1 support to drop ammo and run defending flag
