Re: I'd like to apologize..
Yes, you described the situation correctly. But the ethics of the situation? To me, the unethical thing to do would be to see your teammate needs health and purposely fail to assist him.
By the way, in running the M320 you are still giving up a great asset - the ability to self heal. Now, I don't think that the game balance should be part of the debate. That is DICE's job. As far as I am concerned, DICE made their world and I'm learning how to make myself and my team successful in it. If they mess up on properly balancing something, players will exploit it. The most obvious example is making certain guns more powerful than their alternatives. If they truly wanted to fix this situation, they could make it impossible to revive someone you tk or take away the shock paddles from medics without medic packs.
Like I said earlier - I strongly feel that the logic behind banning for this tactic is incredibly flawed, but I will accept the decision and play by the rules. It does lead me to a follow up question though - if I find that I am low on health, can I jump off a rock to purposely suicide so that a medic with no packs can revive me?Last edited by cornfuse; 02-03-12 at 01:49 PM. Im sure im not the only one that can easily see where you are coming from, you make a sound argument. But look how every other TPG server has been run, aside from adhering to what the game mechanics allow, we also uphold the best possible standards for game play in an effort to make everyones experience fun and challenging. Some times that involves confronting game mechanics that could be considered contrary to the type of game play that we encourage here. Its like riding the MAV. Its easily doable within the mechanics of the game, and on some maps it will get you no where that you cant get by other more traditional means, but we still consider it a bannable offense.
Hopefully while your looking for a rock tall enough to get the job done, you'll wipe out an enemy squad, or hook up with a medic that has a pack.... then wipe out that squad!Last edited by SpecOpsScott; 02-03-12 at 02:48 PM.

This topic has dragged on long enough.
The bottom line is, TKs happen. As a teamplayer on our server, you are to check your fire at all times. You should not fire through a teammate if you know they are going to be hit. If you are firing on an enemy and a teammate accidentally gets caught up in the crossfire, so be it. You revive (if possible), apologize and move on. At no time are you to intentionally kill a teammate.ZoranDaWicked liked this post
