01-29-12, 08:48 PM #1I'd like to apologize..
For the TK's today in a 1/2 round on my first map of the night.
First I was support shooting down a hall when 2 regs, victor-olin and another ran across....they both died.
Then I went assult and killed 2 people using the m320....as the walls came crashing down...
....Then back to support where I killed another player.
So..... not like me....in 20 min getting 5 tk's. I apologize.
Hey....one thing we know is that after my 5th the screen froze and i got kicked!
lol....
Sorry all....Sorry team.

Re: I'd like to apologize..
I know it pains me to tk, especially because of my experiences in PR and in BF2. However, BC3 (especially in small quarters) makes a tk so much easier (at least it seems that way to me). What also makes it worse is that any text you type is difficult to see (and since VOIP in BC3 is awesome). At least you took the time to post up. I am sure those that ran through your cover/bullets regret doing so as much as you do killing them (they should have been watching also).
Hang in there Zora, SA is your friend in BC3 ... it can help mitigate some of those tks!Last edited by Amador +JP2+; 01-30-12 at 01:21 AM.

In some cases Tk'ing is necessary. When you find yourself in an enclosed space and there's a friendly between you and a the enemy who is about to kill both of you, it's better to get 2 kills and a revive then to get killed holding your fire.

Re: I'd like to apologize..
Tk'ing to grief players or as retaliation is never ok. But if it's for the betterment of the team and the tk'ed teammate is revived shortly thereafter, I would say that it is beneficial to the team's objective of winning. Like Hannibal said, there are grey areas.
Just to reiterate, I don't condone shooting into crowds and hoping for the best, but if I'm boxed in sometimes it's the only way for me and my teammate to survive. To me, that's true teamplay. But if the admins collectively decide that it's best just to let yourself and your teammate get killed, then I would abide by that.

Re: I'd like to apologize..
And I would say do this at your risk. Admins don't judge if a TK is beneficial for the team, it's whether it's intentional vs accidental in most cases. If it's intentional then you could be banned for it plain and simple. I can see what you are saying with the way the game is setup, but try everything short of shooting teammates to win at a situation.
