Thread: New DLC!!

It's really not the bugs that bother most people, I think. I know it's not the bugs that really bother me. It's that what we got was not, at all, what we were led to believe we were getting. It smacks of EA/DICE leading us on for $$ knowing that we're (PC gamers) the most rabid followers (or if you prefer loyal supporters) of their Franchise. Most of us have played a variation of the Bf series for 5+ years. Only we didn't get what we had been lead to expect. That has caused, imo, the most "issues" in the various BF communities.

Do people still play? Sure. Is it a fun game in its own right? Sure. But it's really not a "Battlefield" game in the sense that we all think of Battlefield. Had this been branded under a new franchise most of the angst would've been no where to be seen because we would not have been expecting all of the things that the BF series brought in the past (key marquis features).


TL : DR
It's not about about the "bugs", instead it's about the lack of key battlefield features and missing the deep(er) complexities and tactical thinking that BF2 and BF2142 offered.

My first large online game was Return to Castle Wolfenstein (the original not remake) and then Enemy Territory. I still remember the shrub mod. Added some very nice features. Mod tools would be excellent in the right hands.
