Finally did it... A complete BF2 install (vanilla, no SF, no BF2142, no mods) and IT WORKS.... I smell a corrupted file in the Punkbuster prefs deep down the throat of the machine..... See you this week-end !!!!

I never got my SF unlock, bough the game toolate.... But BF2 works fine.

So next you have the same problem as I: just re-install BF2, update in sequence 1.41 then 1.5 then update Punkbuster that was installed with BF2 1.0. I't way shorter than fiddling with PB udate, SVBC or your security configuration and the rest....
