need some help if possible

ok so first i should say that i use a different control scheme than WASD so naturally a lot of keys get changed around with a game like BF3. now the problem that has plagued with since day one mind you is that the spot/command key does not bind to any other key properly except Q. this isnt to say it wont bind to another key though it just binds to both keys. i use Q as my scope button so naturally this is most annoying and very important to normal gameplay.

so what i want to know is if anyone else has had this problem and if there is a fix for it.

It is the way it is. The only way I know of to change it is use a key bind app or script. Like make Q=E and L=Q or whatever. E now being your spot and L being whatever you make it.

yah thats a lot of work to fix a problem thst shouldnt be a problem. this is so ridiculous though. the key bindings have been screwy since day one anyways. it just makes me mad that just because it works with default controls its not a problem worth fixing right away for some reason. why give you the choice to change key binds of it doesnt even work correctly.

BF3 Settings Editor - Realmware BF3 Tools

Get this. It's third party, yes, but it works and fixes a lot of bugs that were hard coded, like forcing q to be your spot key.

Why should everyone get it? I like my settings as they are...is there some other benefit?

The ease to change settings would be the best benefit. It gives you access to the Hard Brake for jets not found in the game menu. MAV controls are Easily Defined.

Wouldnt using this program be a violationg of TPG rules? If it didnt come from the manufactor its a mod and TPG does not allow that if im not mistaken.

I use it too, it doesn't mod the game in any way that would be considered a cheat. It simply allows you to bind keys and it does fix a few things that the developer hasn't bothered to fix. Things such as being able to bind keys to control the mav and bind a key other tha Q to comma rose.
