I think that you don't know what I do or don't understand and shouldn't make that assumption.
You are correct by saying they are granting access to our servers without our permission and yes, it does suck. It also sucks that we haven't had reserve slots since day 1.
The business perspective of gaming communities was never really "whole heartily" supported and probably never will be. It's exactly why we have 3rd party software to manage EA's games with. If EA and similar companies would adopt a practice that helps small gaming communities grow then we would be much more enthusiastic of the products they push. Unfortunately that's not the case with EA and it's not the case with any of the other major companies. Chances are that the future will be no different no matter what company makes the sale.Last edited by Warprosper; 06-08-12 at 12:14 PM.

That's a pretty stupid way to describe it. It's called misleading the client. The person who says no nicely is the customer not the company selling something. Dice should have came out straight and said that it would not be included and don't try to say that maybe they weren't sure. They knew.

What you mention is what pisses me off more than anything about BF3. Yes, I get that we do our best to overcome the lack of in game VoIP with TS3, but it's not the same, and NEVER will be. Much like everyone else here I am so rooted in this community because of the people. I am sure my story is much the same as everyone else. I joined the server, joined a squad, and...heard people working together. At first I just listened, lurked, and obeyed. Then I fought to get in squads with Ranger10 and Jeep. From there it was no turning back.
Now let's look at BF3. How do we organize with the next Jeep, Loki, Max, Dex, War, or Civil? How do we get them to 1) organize in the way that makes us unique, and 2) realize the greatness that is TPG? BF3 leaves us with 2 options, sit in silence with new players praying they work with us, or isolate ourselves as the "haves" leaving the "have nots" to do their own thing. How does either option differentiate us from any other server out there?
