Close Quarters Impressions
So now that CQ is out, what does everyone who has it think so far?
For me, I enjoy the maps of TDM but I'm not a TDM player at all. I find my trigger is too twitchy and I end up killing a lot of teammates. The maps on the other hand are very fun. Enemy ducks behind a wall? Just shoot through it!
Gun Master is great, if you are familiar with GunGame and enjoy that I think you will enjoy GunMaster. 17 levels, 2 kills per level. 2 Teams. The only thing I would maybe change about Gun Master is not allowing people to camp corners.

Re: Close Quarters Impressions
-The gun game is really fun... won 2 of the 3 games I've played so far... However, the bug where your grenade launcher shots regular frag grenades is very annoying (well, I'm assuming its a bug, otherwise it would be just plain silly) (edit : disregard that. Apparently, it has always been in the game, just never noticed it...)
-The domination game mode really isnt for me. The spawns are random, you cant expect where the enemies will come from. the flags take 5 seconds to cap... even Operation metro is far more strategic, and thats saying a lot
-Having unlocked the two last weapons requiring domination/gun master mode victories and got a service star with both of em (I always felt the need to give every weapon a fair chance), I can say the m5k is a beast.Last edited by chray00; 06-13-12 at 01:16 AM.

Ditto...My English lads need to step it up haha.
As for CQ, I just got 3 rounds of Domination in. I don't know exactly what all game modes there are for this expansion, but for those who haven't played yet, Domination is like conquest where you have to cap points except all spawns are random and you can't spawn on the captured points. This makes things interesting and keeps people moving from flag to flag instead of just camping them. Flags turn VERY fast, if you have 2 people on a flag you can probably neutralize it AND cap it in about 4 seconds. This may make it seem easy but if the flag is contested, you may have to clear the place out first. Almost every flag is exposed from a few angles.
For example, the tower map has a flag where you can basically back yourself into a corner and shoot anyone that comes in...however, one of the walls is a glass wall overlooking a courtyard where you can easily shoot through the glass from the other side, creating a flanking area even though they have the room covered.
The maps, at least when I played them, are utter chaos! All points can be lost and then taken again in mere seconds. Contrary to how it sounds, the maps are not small by any means, they are actually quite large, there are just lots of corridors and hallways, and each map is about three or four levels creating some interesting dynamics. You are never safe; if you go prone you will be fragged, if you stand still you will be shot in the back, if you back into a corner they will tear down the wall behind you, if you revive you will need to be revived, very rarely will you live long enough to run out of ammo. It's stressful but great fun if you are into it, I myself could only handle a few rounds before I had to take a break. This is definitely not regular battlefield3, rounds aren't won by strategies or progressions, they are won by synchronized victories in split second situations.

I suck cocks in hell when it comes to Gun Master
but god damn do I like conquest domination. It feels like Team Fortress 2. I play it like I play TF2 with a scout, running between flags and capping all day long. It's great.
I had a lot of fun
but fucking Gun Master can eat my dick.
