Thread: Since updating Origin the moment I spawn in my gun is firing and I can't stop it

Anybody have a fix for this?

I just spent 4 hours of my life trying to fix this with EA to no avail.

I also tried a new mouuse and that didn't help.

Any suggestions?

Do you have a joystick with a throttle or rudder of some sort that is always pushed to one axis?

As of right now it looks like the game did not auto-update. I am doing that now to see what happens.

I just came back to delete my original post but since you already responded I felt compelled to respond being you took time out of your life to answer!

Whiskey making a key stick? Some other interface device that has a button pressed for some unknown?

Check the control config for fire across all inputs...

There is a config file, but it is harder to understand than BF2's; the google can help with this maybe.

Did he answer the joystick question? mine did this when I plugged a joystick in, you have to unmap all joystick inputs for when on foot

I just unplugged my joystick,er, well the gaming "joystick" that is!!! Hehehe

I remember something about this when BF3 first came out.

As of right now I have done the following:

Uninstalled/reinstalled game

Uninstalled/reinstalled Origin

Uninstalled Battlelog (Not sure how this was in the add/remove programs list)

Changed mousse

Changed keyboard

Talked to on phone AND live chat with EA 7 times

Tried Chrome and Firefox browsers...cause I do not like IE9. Really BLOWS!!!

Will post an update when I am successful.
