Hi all,
I was just playing AK with some folks on another server. I got several TKs, a couple when vehicles ran over my mines next to teammates and one on a guy who turned out to be a troll when he ran to C4 a tank I was in a pitched battle with in my tank destroyer. Is it me or is it kind of easy to TK people when you're doing the most to help your team win?

Regulars probably aren't TK'ing you, but it does happen. Don't take it personally; if they type 'sorry' I'm usually good with it but a bit irritated. Obviously abusing TK is another thing entirely and those people should be banned.
The correct thing to do is say your sorry and try not to do it again. Some rounds you just die alot, if there are a lot of new names you don't recognize perhaps they are new to the game. The basic answer to your question, which sounds like you're being a bit sarcastic, is no."Political Correctness is a cancer to our Society and a Direct Threat to our free speech," The Oozish One

I was trying to C4 a couple of tanks the other night and each time I was accidentally TK. I knew it wasn't intentional but it seems like I took more damage which caused me to die from the tank I was trying to C4 when a teammate destroyed the tank.

No I was the one TKing Oozish, and it wasn't sarcastic at all, it seems like more than in BF2 you can accidentally TK in BF3. Especially when you kill an vehicle near a teammate. Honestly I don't understand why the game credits you with the TK if the person dies from damage you did to an enemy vehicle?

agreed with the easy TK. Personally, i try not to TK unless the guy ran in front of me when i'm trying to kill an enemy.
I assume dice meant that you created the damage to the enemy tank there fore you TK because you caused it? no clue but that's a theory

Re: TKing in the course of your duty
I would agree with the observation that I tk more frequently in BF3 on certain maps than I ever did in BF2 on any map. Awareness really is the key. You have to work hard to know where your fellow teammates are and understand that a tk in a dark tunnel or while trying to cap B in metro is probably just going to happen. I have been killed many times by my own team while attempting to cap B on metro ... typically because they don't look and simply throw a volley of nades up there ... and I am stuck ... I either run out and get blasted by the nme or I sit tight and pray the nade isn't close enough.
My goal is to succeed in any mission - and live to succeed again.
God grant that I may not be found wanting, that I will not fail this sacred trust.
"bite my shiny metal ...!"
there are many other servers

Re: TKing in the course of your duty
General rule of thumb. If you have engineers nearby, don't get close to vehicles. However, I die alot as support trying to c4 vehicles. Both from the enemy and friendly.
As an eng, I've tk'd people trying to c4 it. Sometimes I miss them on the map. Sometimes they rush it after I've fired a javelin or rpg. It happens.
