Origin and BattleLog Account Compromised

It appears as though my accounts have been compromised. I can log into BL but the changed my name from SchmoBS to some random shit. I have requested a password change but yet to have received the email as they may have changed that too.

Did this happen to anyone else?

Anyone now how to get a hold of EA?

Yea happened to me a while back.. You have to call EA support. Just google their number. You will need some sort of receipt of purchase in order for them to prove you're the owner of the account. Good luck man..

This happened to laggy as well. He ran into a roadblock trying to use the online chat support, but got immediate help when he called the EA/Origin support phone number.

Great help guys. Found EA's number....866-543-5435. Took about 15 minutes on hold and the guy couldn't be nicer. Got me fixed up. However, looks like the deleted all my friends, either that or people don't like me anymore!!! Any way, I am back up and running. Thanks for the help!!!

Just went through this about a week ago. Some Russian hacked my account, deleted all my friends list and changed my name to ethYjoQ. You'll be able to change your name back from within Origin in 7 days.

Yeah, the security behind Origin is a joke. The hackers can just keep attempting to login to your account until they get your password.

Yup. They tried laggy's accout almost 900 times before getting in. No fucks were given by EA.

The thing that gets me is they actually TRACK how many failed logins there were but don't do anything about it.

That's fucking pathetic. It's not hard to implement a 5-10 attempt limit before having to reset the password via email or text.

Anyhow, glad they took care of you. I had that shit happen to me in FF11 and my wife had it happen to her in WoW and EQ...sucks to have to start over and find all your friends again(at least they are most likely pretty well concentrated here at TPG)
