Re: BF4 Thoughts?
It's an upgrade. What you had, but with less features and more dog tags.
BF4 thoughts? Wait for BF3 to break to the point where people either have to buy 4 or not play at all.
Did we mention more dog tags, there'll be more! Order China Rising now and get exlusive access to China dog tags!!!!Dispatch the DooM

I bought BF3 when it first released. Haven't been able to play it till recently because I never had a rig that could support it. Now that I play every night, I love it. I played BF2 and BF2142 all day every day, but sadly this was before my time at TPG. Yes, BF3 is nothing compared to those games, but it still is a great FPS. BF3 is 100x better then any Call of Duty I've played, and I've played all of them.(MW - BO2)
I've heard and read all the complaints of the BF2/BF2142 lovers and basically all EA has to add is commander and VOIP and you all SHOULD love the game again. Of course nothing is going to SEEM as good as BF2 and BF2142. Those were the first FPS of their kind. The originals were always the best. No sequel will ever beat the first Super Smash Brothers on N64 or the original James Bond: GoldenEye. All the sequel games sucked.
In my opinion BF3 is still a good sequel. The gameplay is still fun as hell and I would rather play that then Call of Duty any day. We are in a new market of gamers and EA is competing with the Call of Duty franchise now. They are succeeding slowly imo. I'm not going to expect BF4 to have all these great features that bring back the BF2/BF2142 days. I've moved on from the past. I play games that I enjoy playing, simple as that. Obviously there are many that don't enjoy BF3 and will probably not enjoy BF4, but I love it.
The character movement, the gun physics/feel, the vehicle physics/feel, the game modes are fun, and the game looks great overall. Four players to a squad kind of sucks, but I can live with it if they don't change it. VOIP would be fantastic, but I can live with TS. It would completely change the game for the better if they had Voip, but if EA doesn't listen, oh well not going to stop me from playing.
You have to understand TPG is now a very small niche that prefers TeamPlay. There are so many people who play that don't even understand what it would be like to be on a team where everyone can communicate and take a map strategically. Where all the squads are working together and striving to win, working as one. I know we aren't the only ones out there who prefer this type of gameplay, but I know there are many many other players who just join a server with one to three other friends or by themselves and just do stuff on their own. EA obviously doesn't want to force every player to play Battlefield the way TPG wants to play it. Yes, our way is better and more fun for everyone, but people will still play this game without teamplay being enforced.
It sucks, but that's the truth. I'm able to enjoy BF3 either way I play. TPG is the best when full, but when its not I still love playing this game on other servers with friends and family. I'm going to buy BF4 and I'm going to love it. If they are taking the recipe from the Call of Duty franchise of putting out the same old game year after year, then of course I will get board....but I just recently got bored of the Call of Duty franchise with MW3 and BO2. They had my money and delight every game before that.Last edited by Mr_Blonde_OPS; 06-05-13 at 02:10 AM.

One last thing, I think TPG can still be popular and a safe haven for teamplayers. I'm pretty sure our BF3 servers were packed during BF3s release and for some time after, but they obviously died out. Though there are still so many people playing the game. I hope that we can find a way, and have learned from our BF3 servers, a way to keep our servers going strong. Though I think in order to do that we would have to bend the ideals of what our regulars want in comparison to what would keep the server alive. Rush servers are the most popular and although TPG will always be a Conquest community, I think a TPG enforced Rush server would be far more popular. I'm an infantry guy, so it gives me chills just thinking about a TPG rush server and the teamplay involved.
