I sent mine to a friend, but when they try to register it, it says it's already regsitered. This can't be true, as I already own BF3 and only revealed the product key when saw it for myself and copy and pasted to said friend.
I bought if from the humble bundle last month, anyone know what's going on or how we can fix this?

Do what kanati said.

What might have happened is, someone might have actually guessed the url to your key(s) and jacked them... but if you prove to EA that you did buy it, they should be able to deactivate the old key and give you a new one.

It says something about "guessing urls" on Groupees site:

So, that might be what happened.
