Thread: Things you'd like to see fixed in BF4

    Things you'd like to see fixed in BF4

    So... beyond the obvious things like VOIP... what would you like to see fixed in BF4.

    I have 2 things that immediately pop to mind.

    1) Fall damage - It's so inconsistent what kills you and what doesn't from a fall standpoint. Some places you can jump down and maybe take some damage but live. Others that appear EXACTLY the same height, kill you instantly.

    2) First Person Perspective 'kills'. Some of this can be chalked up to bad netcode, but there are times where you are behind cover, but an enemy still gets a kill from somewhere on the other side of your cover. Things like being killed after walking around a corner are definitely netcode issues, but there are times when you are stationary behind cover and still get killed.

    My main concern outside of VoIP is strategery. To me it feels like BF3 is more linear than BF2 or 2142. I don't think it is one particular thing that causes this, but a combination of map size, flag layout, out of bounds areas, unattackable enemy HQs, etc.

    Those are two of my big ones. There are also times when you jump over a knee wall that warps you and kills you 30 feet from where you jumped over.

    Hit detection and spawn protection are the other two. I wouldn't even go into that. I will go on a rant as long as a book.

    While I admit BF3 is dumbed down a lot more, there still are flags that are of strategic importance on each map.

    Unable to attack the enemy base is stupid. That was one of the best parts of BF2. Raping and stealing all of there assets. Those were the days.

    Hit detection would be fixed by improved net code. They've reportedly put a lot of effort into the net code... but we shall see.

    Damn I hope so. BF3 has the worst hit detection of any game I have ever played.

    I can put a half mag into someone on my screen only for them to turn around and hit me with 3 bullets and I die.
