It kept everything... in a windows.old directory. So I don't have to re-download BF4 for instance... but I do have to reinstall origin, all my apps and dev stuff... etc etc.

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.

So you don't think they are going to continue to patch the game to make it run better? If I have to end up buying an new CPU when the game full releases and I'm positive the problem is such then I will. I'm hoping they will continue to fix whatever problems they are having and optimize the network more before release.

I never said that. I was merely pointing out general trends in the performance issues. BF4 is much more CPU intensive and AMD processors don't appear up to the task right now. That being said, the next generation of consoles are all based on AMD processors, so there should be improvements, but they will likely be limited because console gaming doesn't care about anything above 60fps at 1080p.

I have a friend with a 2600k and GTX 580 and the game runs like butter. Another friend has a 3570k and GTX 670, and it lags like shit. They are pretty similar systems, but the 2600k is hyper threaded, which is appearing to make a difference.

At this point, who the hell knows for sure, but Intel's i7 chips seem like the way to go. We will find out more upon the full release.

I guess I won't need to upgrade then. I was worried about my 2600k bottlenecking my 690 with BF4. It does happen with Skyrim, but I have ~80mods on that game right now so...^0^

And, this founder fully expects to see VRTX squads up when the server launches.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
