They show some epic fails but they tend to edit out deaths and lulls in the fighting for the sake of time. Think about it you have to keep your audience engaged so who wants to sit there watching them wait for the chopper after they die. At least that is the point of view they work off of. At least it isn't a montage. I can't stand montages lol.
