External VOIP & TPG
So I would like some clarification and I'm sure other players are curious.... Can we use external voip systems like mumble to chat with buddies in between rounds of bf4? Back in the days of {HRD} we were Always using vent as well as internal voip. I understand they may have in between rounds voip for squad only but of vent had so many people in there (20ish)...

I don't ever remember using or seeing anyone use vent on TPG when BF2 was around. We used it to organize raids and TWL matches. Personally I prefer not to use it if the game already provides a VOIP solution that works. You can always smack talk in the chat window to the other team.

What's to stop you from using it at other times? I'm all for the honor system, but we've busted regs and resident clan members in the past ghosting using 3rd party VOIP.
The other problem is people are lazy (not saying you are Max, but in general). They have their VOIP activation set to the same key. In game, in TS, in Vent, whatever. Or worse they have their third party VOIP set to voice activated and we get to hear everything uttered from their lips leading to unintentional ghosting.
We can't dictate policy outside of TPG, so a blanket "No third party VOIP solutions" rule makes the most sense. Very hard to enforce, but we can at least request people not to do it and hope they comply.
