But it would benefit you as well.

It's ONE HELL of an admin tool, and has busted many a shitbag in CSS. Anything that helps keep our little sandbox SUKKA FREE benefits all of us.

Plus, we have some pretty talented folks around here. It would be pretty cool having a TPG centric vid.

The admins were robbed of their best tools with BF3. We will be adminning BF4 a little bit more like BF2 because of the fact that the game is actually a finished product (VOIP), and we will have the proper tools to do so.

BR would allow them to do an even better job.

Like I said, our admins do a hell of a fine job as it is in BF3 and we don't even have spectator mode yet. I'd rather DICEs time be spent on something that affects my gameplay like expanding upon Commander Mode.

I'm also not one who really cares to watch videos about peoples video games gameplay. I just stream it, I don't consume it.

Mmmmkay. I too think our BF3 Admins did a fine job. Especially since EA/DICE castrated them from the get-go. They made the best of not having the proper tools in their belt, and I don't think any of us could be prouder of the job they did. I'm just glad they will now have better (read... some) tools this time around. For those who were around for our BF2 server, we will be enforcing the team play in muchh the same manner. Thanks to VOIP, there is NO reason to not follow the orders of the squad leader and the CO.

I don't watch videos either......or streams. Although, if someone around here made a video showcasing the teamplay on our servers, I'd grab some popcorn and enjoy. Nothing like free advertising and finding those folks who don't know how different we are than most servers/communities.

Wasn't BR an after-release thing for BF2 as well? Can't remember if that was an on-release feature or not.

As far as I remember, it was in the game at release. Lots of tutorials about how to use it from July 2005. Patch 1.01 was released in July, but no mention of battle recorder in the patch notes.

What's really odd is both Bad Company 2 and BF3 had the CAPABILITY of Battle Recorder. DICE used it internally for producing promo videos and such, but never exposed it to the general public. There isn't a current Battle Recorder functionality in BF4. They've had to do things the 'old fashioned way' and use capture hardware/software.
