Perhaps projectiles should just automatically disappear when you die? (see L4D2 -- my biggest grip in that game)

Battle Report - Battlelog / Battlefield 4

The rocket to the face and one shotted is close but not totally accurate. The rocket hit the wall behind me and I hit him twice from 15 feet away coming up stairs with an 870 loaded with darts. The rocket took me down to 2 health but I was sitting on 3 medic bags and 2 throwables.

If we want to talk about shitty internet and netcode, look no further than my connection. I am willing to bet that I have some of the worst internet in the country. My max d/l speed is 768 kb/s. It took me over 30 hours to d/l BF4. It takes 19 hops to get to the server from North Florida. There is a hop in ATL that I have a 120-180 ping too even though I have a ping of 70-85 to the server. With that type of connection and out of sync UDP packets, packets get dropped. Which related to shitty VoIP comms and shitty hit detection. Any given night I have a 7-35% packet loss per PingPlotter. I know anyone that has been in a squad I have been in has heard me say something about it. I know most think I am just being a bitch about it. Truth is, I am. I am frustrated at my connection more than anything. They have no desire to fix it and don't really care too. They have the monopoly here. Hopefully the new house will have better luck.
You and your damn squad... and Allane's damn squads... are the bane of my existance.

I think it was saturday on zavod. I looked right at you and got a one shot shotgun to the face. Then sfri did the same thing right after I think. Shotguns + 12 guage double aught buckshot SUCKS!!!

But it proves that there are very legitimate reasons for getting one-shotted tied directly to the weapons you are using.

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.

Some things do disappear when you die... Rockets typically do... even if they're fired at a stationary target. If you're in the process of throwing a grenade when killed, it's trajectory is altered and any of your team it ends up killing get credited to the enemy who killed you. Lots of weird mechanics in BF4... I don't get annoyed by the simul-kill... I just laugh and say... you may have gotten me, but I got you too.

Exactly. I shotgun blast close range should be a one shot. I don't know if anyone has seen someone IRL that has been shot with a shotgun close range, but I can tell you it isn't pretty. I have seen plenty of gunshot victims but ones involving shotguns are always the worst.

Exactly back at you. Double aught buckshot is like getting hit with eight 9mm rounds all at the same time. It's gonna fuck up whatever it hits.

Yah I have noticed that the rockets don't really disappear sometimes but rather just fly directly into the ground. It is pretty annoying when you know if that rocket hit that person would have died to.

Which rocket? Ones like the SRAW that requires a lock on all the way to target SHOULD nosedive or otherwise go off the reservation. If it's an auto lock-on then I don't know why that would happen.

    Re: Officially done with BF4

I think if the game is ultra frustrating you... taking a break is a good idea. You play the game to have fun and if you are coming out the other end with anxiety and anger it might be worth it to go to something you might enjoy more. Give EA another couple weeks to iron things out. Maybe use the time to make sure Windows is updated, firmware and drivers for your hardware are at their latest versions, clean out anything that might be running in the background, etc.

I don't see all the stuff you do, but that is the nature of PC gaming. EA and other PC gaming developers have to make a game for an unlimited number of platform configurations and their associated internet bandwidth and speed. It isn't an easy thing to do. They have delivered the game with the mechanics we had hoped for. Large scale war with a commander, VOIP and a sense that strategy is making a difference. BF3 compared to BF4 is night and day... I really notice the difference when playing with a squad that coordinates vs one that doesn't. That feeling wasn't there in BF3. I think this has a solid foundation and I am going to stick with it.

They do it even when you aren't using the fly by wire sights. But yah I have experienced it with other types of launchers as well.
