Officially done with BF4
After experiencing same bullshit different game with bf4 tonight, I am officially done playing it. Its uninstalled and wont be reinstalled again. I am sure most of you will say I am just whinning and am a baby or some such.
My complaints with this game are big. How can a game be fun when you fire a rocket into someones face and they survive, only to turn around and one shot you? Or how about shotgun blasts from more than 100 yards away for the one shot kill on a moving target?
And of course one of my personal favorites: shoot a guy 8 times with a machine gun and he survives and one shots you with a weaker gun.
I cant say if I am horrible at the game or not. If I got kills for all the hits I have made, I am sure I would be right up there with some of the best. Sadly, the inconsistencies of the franchise since bf2142 are so great that it is impossible for me to enjoy the game. I am sure I am not the only one having these experiences, nor will I be the last. But I wont be touching another BF game until they address those issues. And it does not seem they will be doing that since the last two games are near identical in that respect. So happy hunting, and adios!

EA wont do anything. They are all about the money. And they got it from me. They wont let DICE put out a finished product. Always rushing them to compete with Modern Warfare. BF2 and BF2142 were their best products. They have only gone downhill from there. Sure the graphics are much prettier, but the gameplay doesn't compare.

Thats to bad that you couldn't find enjoyment in the game. It has its bugs but I had the time of my life tonight man. I would say try to look at the silver linings but hey when you're done you're done. We all have those games we just cant stand or aren't able to play that frustrate the hell out of us.

I know this means nothing to you now, but it could have been the weapons you were using. The LMGs are pitifully bad at close range, even the U-100. Their spread while moving is among the worst, tied only by the DMRs. Other players may be using faster firing weapons, which although "weaker", do the same amount of damage as your machine gun per bullet. Just by virtue of firing faster and spray-and-pray, they get lucky.
I'm going to write a small article and see if the Media guys will pass it on, because a complex weapon sub-game exists that most people aren't even aware of, they just get lucky draws with weapons that they like.P|lls liked this post

Honestly though its that kind of attitude that gets nothing changed. Battlefield has been one of my favorite franchises since I got into BF2 a long time ago and if I see something wrong Ill let them know about it. I actively participated in the beta periods for BF3 and BF4 so I could provide my feedback if I noticed something wrong. Im still compiling another list of possible broken mechanics and visuals so I can make a feedback post on the BF4 forums. If you want something to get fixed you dont uninstall and pout, you do something about it.
This is definitely something a lot of people dont understand about the game, and what most people now like to chalk up to net code or lag is really just that they dont know how to use the weapon the got correctly. A lot of the spread, damage, and accuracy stats changed from BF3 going into BF4. DMRs for example carry better range than in BF3 but require almost twice the amount of shots for a kill.

I for one would be very interested in reading your analysis. There are times when weapon accuracy and 2nd+ shot stability are not at all what I expect. Need every advantage I can get, LOL.
Been looking at this site, that's still a work in progress BF4 Weapon Stats: Damage, Accuracy etc. | SymthicLast edited by dreaddman; 11-17-13 at 08:55 AM.

Hm. I was just about to not go through with the article due to its sheer length, since I work out every weapon, but given Dreadd's interest, I might finish it. And I use Symthic too. It's pretty much the best and only place to get good statistics. I'm just going to turn those statistics into something people can understand.

Funny I seem to kill people consistently just fine... Looking at your stats it's clear as day why you're having issues. I bet you shoot while moving often, full auto mag dumping, and hip fire when they are close. Your second highest kill weapon is the MX4 with 7% accuracy. Sorry but you're not hitting your target as much you think. The LMG you're at 11% which in this game that specific LMG you should be at least 14-18% for an average player. That LMG is very accurate if your shooting fundamentals are in order. Hip fire in battlefield 4 is highly inaccurate unless you're using a PDW with a laser and vertical grip. You should always ADS if you feel you can track the target in close range for the bonus.
Anyways you can blame EA and DICE all you want for your poor understanding of how the game works. It's paramount to complaining when someone keeps beating you in chess but you didn't take the time to learn the rules of the game. If your that frustrated I would think the first person you should look at is yourself since you're the one in control.
