Specifically that there might be too much of it. Though, Battlefield 2 had just as much armor yet allowed for other classes to be played as well.
To illustrate my point: Progression - Allane176 - Battlelog / Battlefield 4
The SRAW is my top weapon. MY TOP WEAPON. I'm also 20th in the United States with rocket launchers. I don't point these things at infantry either.
TeamPlayer Gaming - Weapons
And on the server, armor accounts for 21% of all kills. Battlefield 3 was somewhere around 10% of all kills, with the M416 and M16A3 at about 7%
And, I have 10 service stars in the Engineer kit, more than all my other kits combined.
To top it all off, armor respawns every minute or so (someone will correct me on that). So by the time you've taken out two tanks of the three tank armor column, the other two have respawned and rejoined the fight.
This isn't a thread saying "we need to decrease the amount of armor" or "we need to increase the respawn time on armor", I'm just venting my exasperation at being pushed into a corner constantly, and having to play Engineer all day long.Last edited by Allane; 11-21-13 at 09:28 PM.

To be fair the SRAW is like the dummys rocket launcher, its almost a fire and forget weapon with the limited lock on it has. I like riding armor all the time and it feels like as soon as armor spawns on a map everyone takes it upon themselves to either go engineer or recon to take it out.

Yes, the armor respawn rate is game breaking on a few maps just like in BF3 (i.e. Damavand Peak). Armor is too freely available and there is no value in keeping it alive and not diving in amongst the entire enemy team. But I don't know if we are free modify the setting away from default without messing up server visibility.

IMHO DICE just has to slow down the entire game back to 2142 and 2. These times wouldn't be unbalanced if it took longer for tanks and such to get where they were going. Same for infantry, all the while making maps larger simply by feel. Not to mention the strategy that would be in just moving.

I don't know about you but I feel armor is almost too weak. It feels way to easy to take out, and haven't even unlocked the sraw yet. Whenever I'm in a tank I feel like a little bitch whenever I see any engineers and when I'm an engineer I always see a tank as an opportunity not a threat.
