Battlefield 4 Campaign...

What a shitty, buggy mess. The number of times I've shot people in the head, only to have it hit a piece of floating geometry or "miss", the number of textures that weren't properly applied, the number of times I saw groups of enemies appear in front of me, the multiple times I saw enemy AI (that's a joke in itself) walk through walls or straight up teleport... all wrapped up with a story in which I didn't give a shit about what was happening. It is easily the worst single player experience I have ever had.

I am very, very scared to try the multiplayer, if it is anything like the campaign mode. Someone tell me there is some hope here.

Battlefield is about the multiplayer. Hell... BF2 had no single player other than multiplayer with bots.

Though you probably do want to finish single player for the unlocks it gives you

I never had any issues with the campaign, and multiplayer seems fine as well minus the glitches that folks have been pointing out.

I didn't run into anywhere near the issues you seem to have. And I enjoyed the story. Not the best game play but that's because I'm use to fighting people not robots.

It's not perfect. It's not bad. And it looks damn pretty and Obliteration is fun as hell. If you remember it's a game and play for fun instead of technical perfection, you'll enjoy it imo.
