They're trying to market defuse as a competitive mode ala Counter-Strike.

I just wish the camera (and thus where your bullets come from) while you were standing was lowered to eye height, instead of the very tip top of your player model. People know this camera/model trick very well. All you have to do is inch up very slowly on a slope to your cover so that you just BARELY poke over. Other players will be unable to see you because you shoot from the very top of your player model, but you can see and shoot them just fine.
Is that a common trait in FPS? I never really thought of it and figured that my view was eye-level.

It was eye level in Call of Duty 4, I know that one for a fact. As for Battlefields before BC2, I'm not sure but they may have been eye-level as well. BC2 and on all have you shoot from the very top of your player model. If you pay close enough attention to someone who's shooting next to you in BF3, you can see the bullets coming from their head, and not their gun.

Battlefield 4 remedies that particular glitch in BF3 by making anyone else's bullets come from their gun, but travel from their head anyway. It's why it looks like people are shooting from behind something and you can't see their flash or bullets.

Does make me wonder how many more years it's going to be until they get all of this "right".
