Re: MTU Limit and packet loss
How were you testing the Packet loss? 75% is really high and hard to believe. What types of issues were you having to you were looking for a solutions and came across this?
There are other places you need to adjust your MTU settings if you only did it on your computer. Like your router for example.

Re: MTU Limit and packet loss
I tested the packet loss/ fragmentation by using this command: ping google.com -f -l (followed by an MTU size). I changed the MTU size in windows (8.1) and on the router. The reason I was looking for some kind of solution, is that I was shooting people in the face from like a metre away, getting multiple hit markers but doing very little damage. To start with I thought it was probably due to having a high'ish ping (around 140) but then I see other players with similar ping doing ok, I thought if their doing ok with that ping why aren't I and started looking for solutions.
Like I said, when I initially tested it was reporting 75% fragmentation/ loss, after testing some different MTU settings its now reporting 0% fragmentation/ loss.Last edited by Voodoo_S3; 12-12-13 at 02:42 PM.

Re: MTU Limit and packet loss
Did you look at the Network Smoothing option within BF4?
