MTU Limit and packet loss
"An MTU limit that is set too high can cause fragmented packets and packet loss on your connection." I'm guessing the more experienced players will be aware of this, I was not.
So I did the following test and found that I had upto 75% packet loss, after following the guide and changing my MTU limit I now have 0% packet loss. Anyhow thought it might help some, no harm in checking right.
Here's the link to the guide I used: MTU Limit - Test and change your connection's MTU limit - Windows 7 Help Forums

Amernican slang for the middle of nowhere. Shortened form of Boondocks.

Re: MTU Limit and packet loss
OK, then most likely DSL. Most modern connections shouldn't have an issue with MTU packet size. MTU adjusting was big when you had Dial-up, ISDN, and when DSL first came out. Good old Dr. Watson.
Do you know your advertised speed?
Boonies = in the middle of nowhere.
