Re: So i got called out for not using my mic??
The guy was genuinely pissed. I could tell by his comments. And me being close to a wall why would he drive the atv directly at me, when he had plenty of open space to avoid hitting me?
You know I don't like drama, but I felt he should be held accountable. If this gets brushed under the rug, so be it.

I don't see anything wrong with a SL forcing a spawn as engineer or something relative to the situation. If they don't listen and spawn in sniper when there is tanks all around you then they deserve to be kicked.
Doesn't anyone remember a time when you would ask your SL what to spawn in as? When did that change?

I just don't remember if we ever went to the next level and kicked/banned anyone for not spawning a specific kit. Someone that was an admin in BF2 would have to answer that. Someone asks me what they should spawn in with I always tell them "whatever you are comfortable with is fine with me". I *have* told my squad we need to take out a tank or chopper or something before but I've never tried to force someone into a kit they don't want to play.

Re: So i got called out for not using my mic??
when I join a squad I will ask what they need. I can see from the makeup that they don't have medic or supplies I will offer up those kits as spawn choices. If the SL doesn't care then I will play what I want. Most of the time the SL will answer "hell yea we could use a medic spawn green please" or "yea we are taking out aircraft on C and we are low on ammo, an ammo box would be perfect"
My goal is to keep the SL alive. Alive doesn't just mean full health, it also means keeping him/her and the crew protecting him/her with ammo. No ammo = dead. If I can keep the crew alive, even avoiding a squad wipe or two a map will make the difference of a win or loss in the end. Remember a death = 1 ticket and when the drain is even throughout the game the deaths do make a difference. If the SL is alive the rest of the squad can continue to spawn on him/her. That increases the chances of taking an objective.Last edited by Phyrelight; 12-30-13 at 10:41 AM.

Usually when I play people are pretty good about switching their kits to suit the situation better I find. Aside from being a sniper camper all map long I couldn't have a care in the world what you roll out with. That's just my thoughts.

I play engineer almost exclusively, but I've been trying to play assault lately because I need to unlock assault rifles some. But my assault class is assault class. I carry a 320 HE and a medic bag OR paddles. Invariably I'll irritate someone that wanted revived by having a bag or someone that wanted meds when I have paddles. On a NORMAL server though I'll probably carry paddles a lot more than a bag since health regens on it's own.
