Low recoil guns... help! Cant kill like bf3.
So I must say this: I loved the gunplay in bf3. But in this game I find weapons unruly and frankly frustrating. I plan to actually research mouse stuff because right now when aiming down sights my movement feels too high (I miss by a foot as I correct). Most assault guns suck, but along came the L85A2 - and I'm in love. But she's not super powerful. So what guns do you guys recommend for a mediocre player like myself wanting more powerful kills and less sinking half clips into people to kill ... Or half a clip into Allanes head only to have him one shot you with a repair tool or something else extraordinarily weird.

SCAR. It's a 308 so it does more damage. And don't unload a half mag. I will cut you if you call it a clip again.
At long range you can switch to single fire mode and it's more accurate that way. Medium distance tap-fire... tap the mouse button to get a couple shots off at a time. Reduces barrel lift and increases your accuracy a bit.
I also use the AK5C quite a bit. Not as powerful as the SCAR but it does all right.

Sometimes the best way to learn recoil reduction strategies is to use the hardest to control weapons possible: The FAMAS, the M240B, the A-91, the Ace 52 CQB, and the Scar-H.
If you want to start at the low end of the recoil spectrum, Rates of fire 650 and below are your best bet. One thing to note though that relates to your missing by a mile: most carbines, PDWs, and bullpup weapons have an Aim-Down-Sight desync when you're strafing:
That picture is taken with the QBZ-95-1 at full left strafe. The green dot is where your bullets actually go. Most normal grip weapons don't have this issue (carbines being the exception), and the SAR-21 does not have this issue despite it being a bullpup.
I wanted to make the picture a thumbnail, but that feature doesn't seem to be working right now."In matters of style, swim with the currents... in matters of principle, stand like a rock."

So I guess my next question is attachments... I look at the stats and I can't really tell what 50% of them do (they all seem alike). I did notice heavy barrelled rifles shoot like crap. I mainly use either a rds/kobra/coyote with an angled grip and a muzzle brake. Maybe that's not a great setup?

Heavy barrels shoot like crap on full auto. They are meant for single/tap fire to increase accuracy (longer ranges).
Go to symthic.com for a ton of pretty cool data. That's how I realized the sar21 is uber stable. Check out
http://symthic.com/bf4-multi-comparison
Select weapons and attachments and it'll give you a graphic of a 5 shot burst spread run a few hundred times. Green is the first shot in the burst. This info is under the third tab.

Try using the stubby grip and either a compensator or muzzle break depending on the way the weapons recoil works.Like dreaddman said above BF4 Weapon Stats: Damage, Accuracy etc. | Symthic is really helpful to figure out how dramatic the vertical and side to side recoil is on each weapon. It will help you choose between a compensator or muzzle break or for more stable guns like the sar-21 a silencer to stay off the map.
