New Blood
Thanks to a special TPG member I will be joining the BF4 crew tonight. Anyone feel like showing me the ropes tonight? Add me on steam. Also any suggestions, what to do or not to do?

I'll be on most likely. Don't get too frustrated with the deaths at the beginning...things will get better as you get the hang of the game and start to unlock better weapons and accessories. Try and get yourself in a squad with a few TPG regs, that helped me out quite a bit at the start...the extra comms and presence of the vets help a ton.

Re: New Blood
BF4 uses Origin, there is an origin thread in the BF4 forums with peoples names I believe. Add them and you will see when they are playing. Steam isn't used. When you first join look for anyone with a TPG tag as they are most likely regulars. If I am on I would be happy to show you the basics, tho the game is pretty straightforward.

SahWheet.
[TPG]Dexecutioner71 in game.
I'll be on tonight. If I see you, I will add you in Origin Friends (Steam friends rip-off).
You'll definately see some familiar names.......squad up with them and they will show you the ropes. And be prepared to die.....a lot. This isn't CS or L4D.
Most of all, have fun. The EA side is much more laid back than the Source side of things. Still very competitive, just wound a little looser.

Re: New Blood
Make sure you spawn safe in the beginning, or be ready to die without a fight. It can be quite disorienting at first. Spawn in empty vehicles, on flags that are not blinking. I'd tell you to spawn on beacons, but they are broken for now. Avoid spawning on a member that has a blinking warning sign ( located within the mini-map ), ask the individual if it's safe to spawn.
Once you've established your bearings with each map, you can disregard all of the above and spawn blazing. At least by then you'll know what to expect and at the very least have a chance to go down fighting. Also, there will always be spawn deaths no matter how well weathered you are.
If you're going to die, the funnest way is by explosives. Specifically the ones that stick and especially the ones stuck on vehicles, regardless if you are driving them or not.
