A scout birds primary roll is identifying targets not engaging them but yes they can be fitted with rocket pods but no larger then a 3.5 inch. Larger rockets would throw it off its axis because it is aptly named little bird. It also doesnt have a pair of 25 mm cannons on it. The largest it can use in pairs is a 50 cal. The recoil of multiple 25's would knock it out of the air.

Knowing the reality of these birds makes me think its far more powerful in game then it ever could be in real life. So i'll be glad to see it knocked down a peg or two.
I see. Well in that case I would have to say the only weapon that should be on the little bird should be the 7.62 mini guns. Also I think it should take up its real role as a vehicle for fast recon and insertions. A health buff would go a long way to achieving that but all of that is likely never to happen.

    Well! There's your problem!

Guide Shell. If you fly it correctly, you can get both off in one pass on vehicle, rotate it around and finish it off if needed with the cannons.

However, you make yourself an easier target to air vehicles without heat seekers. Pick your poison.

On some maps, I don't bother with guided since there isn't sufficient clearance and free space to get a good lock. On Flood Zone and Siege of Shanghai, I usually go for heat seekers. On Golmud, Hainan, Paracel and Lancang , I'll go guided. On Zavod and Rogue, depends on what the enemy is fielding.
