lol, orijin
"origin" just beeped me to let me know I had unlocked an "achievment"
Hahahahahahaha, 3 years into trying to be steam and they copy a completely useless feature that no one notices anyway?
Anything to avoid selling decent games at reasonable prices, right?
C'mon if you want to copy steam and you don't want to offer games at decent prices, at least up the friends list to over 100.....It's like they know that they suck and are doomed to failure....."The bravery of idiots is bravery none the less."

Well, its common knowledge origaigen sucks, but to attempt to better it at such an appallingly, nonsensical, stupid way with no discernible positive effect on it's users?
What a waste of time and resources, DAAAAAAMN!"The bravery of idiots is bravery none the less."

Origin works fine. It is different, but I haven't had any problems with it. Just a different approach.

Functionality? Like what? Crafting? Cards? This is something I could do without.
I like Big Picture mode. I think it is awesome if you ever game on a TV. I think they have a superior chat interface. Other than that, the applications install and play my games equally well.
EA/Origin support is 10x better. I have opened tickets with Steam Support only for them to sit idle for weeks. Origin, I got near immediate help with the chat, and when there was a problem migrating an old account with my new one, someone called me and stayed on the phone with me until it was resolved. Steam just doesn't do that.
Don't get me wrong. I love Steam. I wish all of my games were on a single application. But Origin does just fine on it's own. Better than Uplay.

It's more than crafting and cards.
You can't gift with Origin, you can't have an inventory. Origin doesn't give coupons, there's no indie game support whatsoever.
The only time they put anything on sale is Christmas and Thanksgiving, and even then..they can't compete with Steam, unless it's a BF game or something you can get from Origin...and that ain't much.
Me and Red Lizard were talking about it this past sale. Those EA employees are probably thinking "Why do we even bother?" around the holidays.
There will be a spike in Origin users, once Titanfall hits, though.
In the end though, all Origin has up it's sleeve is better customer service and few exclusive games.

Speaking of UPlay...
I installed splinter cell: blacklist. Launch game, hey there's an update. Install. Game launches. Little did I realize there are about 5 patches I need, and UPlay doesn't have the ability to chain these updates, nope. I have to exit the game, relaunch, accept update, install, exit game, relaunch, accept update, etc.
So I install the second to last patch, launch game, crashed to desktop. Click launch, nothing happens. Second to last patch broke the launcher and the updater launcher. Try to launch manually through ubisoft folder. Nothing. Had to delete, reinstall, update all over again. They should call themselves NOOBisoft, instead of Ubisoft.
Game is good though
