Think of bf4 as a $110 game. Sucks but that's exactly what it is. Hell skyrim charges $20 per dlc. Oh CR maps are totally worth the extra cost and the new SA ones are sublime.

So I only have China Rising (got it for free) and I was able to connect during a CR map, then continue to play when the server rotated to the vanilla maps. I left before it would have rotated to the new maps though.

I don't know if that was just a fluke though.

It's not. I did the same last night.

Innnnteresting. So it might just check for the presence of A (singular) DLC. Not that you have ALL of them that are loaded on the server.

Battlelog routinely forgets which DLC you have enabled on your server. You'll see the TPG server showing the icon for CR or SA or both... or neither. It's a crapshoot.

Actually I think it is based on what is remaining in your maplist. For instance if are on a base map and before the end of the maplist you will go to a SA and CR map, it will show SA and CR are on the server. If you are on a base map and there is only SA and base maps left on the rest of the maplist, before the rotation starts back at the top, it will only show SA DLC.

Yeah, but battlelog knows what the entire maplist is... so it should know what expansions are included at all times.

Confrimed. The way we have it set up now, the moment it switches off of the Second Assault maps, the server becomes China Rising, and allows anyone with China Rising to connect.

I think it's due to the way that the SA maps are stacked up front. If you've ever taken a look at the Full Server Page option, maps that have already been played get de-listed until the rotation finishes. It's possible that when all the SA maps get de-listed, Battlelog registers the server as China Rising/Stock, and allows connects that don't have Second Assault.

Sorta on topic...Origin has everything Battlefield on sale except​ BF 4 Premium standalone...wow...lol.
