TPG BF4 = Full Rotation

The Main 64 Player Server is now Full Rotation.

The server has been sitting empty since Tuesday. We have many of the regs over on the 32 man with the DLC.

The newer SA maps are loaded up front, and are immediately followed by the CR maps, and finally the base maps.

Please post up thoughts, suggestions, and map rotation ideas here. We want to provide the best BF4 home we can. Tell us how.

I was going to post my thoughts up earlier, and I suppose now's the time to do so. PLEASE note that these are THOUGHTS not suggestions.

What if we changed our 64 man server to another 32 man mixed mode/DLC server? 32 seats means each one is that much more valuable, which means we could get more reserve slots going. 32 seats would also be cheaper than 64.

On top of this, it seems that Conquest Large isn't very popular, whereas the other modes are. Again on top of this is the fact that the game doesn't seem to be designed for 64 players, more for 32 or 48.

I am not opposed to this change, or the one that I was thinking about. I have gotten plenty of enjoyment out of BF4 and am fine being left in the dust because I'm too stubborn to buy DLC/Premium. I'll reiterate that I am not being sarcastic here.

Damn. I was bummed to see that I couldn't join the TPG server tonight. No premium for me. I'll check back in a week, see how you guys like the full rotation to see if it sticks. Although I hate the idea of ponying up another $50 for a game I already spent $50 on only 5 months ago, I may have to do it if I can't play on TPG anymore.

Just wait, I'm guessing there will be another sale somewhere that'll put Premium at $30-$40. Don't buy directly from Origin unless you have to...they almost never have sales.

I understand the issue of charging for additional stuff... But... It's totally worth it. CR alone is worth it.

Not gonna lie, the new maps are pretty fantastic. The China Rising maps have that classic BF2 feel and the reworks of the BF3 maps are just stellar. Even metro is better. Firestorm was a great map already but it's even better now; the map is much more centralized and everything seems to just flow. The real winner though I think is the Caspian rework - this map was probably the best BF3 map imo and they made it way better. The hill has been completely reworked, with a whole underground base under the hill and new ways to get up to it. In BF3, Hilltop was always a pain; you were so exposed all the time on the hill that even if you took it, you wouldn't be alive for long. Now, there's a constant battle for D and there are many more ways to survive on the hill.

I came onto the TPG server pretty late, was only 11 people left, so I can't say whether the numbers were low because of the Premium maps or whether people were just logging off for the night - but I think we'll find out tomorrow when everyone is off work
