The AT4 was easily the most awesome rocket of Battlefield, but I'll just stick to my RPG's. Really pisses pilots off when you take them down and that's the part I enjoy.

I forget but wasn't the at4 the only thing that could lock on in bc2? I remember the Gustavs perfect arc, and the rpgs similar function. I may be forgetting how it played I admit but I thought the at4 was the only lock on anti-armor.

No the AT4 was wire guided. Had a red box where you were looking that marked where the rocket would hit. With practice you could learn to lead air vehicles and knock them out of the sky. It's a bit like the SRAW but was much easier to manuever.

Also if you jerked around sharply enough while aiming, you could make the rocket do a straight 90 degree turn. Got me more then a fair few kills on choppers that way.

Okay, there was a patch recently that removed its ability to damage nearby infantry, and reduced its damage from 34 to 30.

    So let's recap:
Tank can be repaired from a safe location indefinitely without fear of being hit.
Tank driver gets a warning and can see an indicator where he's being locked from.
Javelin requires Line of Sight lock on the entire way.
Javelin user can be shot before rocket hits, and rocket evaporates.

I'll still use it because it auto-mobility kills no matter what, but the golden age of the Javelin was pretty short lived.

It still does 50 points of damage if the vehicle is laser designated. The splash to infantry was removed, but you can splash damage adjacent tanks if you have 2 within close proximity.
