Ranger I agree on everything you wrote except for Zatar Wetlands. I have played that map here recently both as a commander and as a squad leader with a good squad and the tactic was if you were US to let the central island go. The focus was on the flag closest to the enemies base. Once that was captured then defend it. The purpose is to allow all their players to stand around the central island protecting it while the US put pressure on the enemies base and begin capturing flags in reverse order. It was truly amazing how that worked and both rounds were won by the US. When on the other side, the same thing is done....what I normally do is go to the US base through the back road...take out their eyes and then go right to the air base and cap that flag. The key is to defend the flag once you get it. Then have squads capture US flags moving from the air base. It was interesting to see by letting the central island go.....focusing on the flags starting at the enemies uncap bases and moving around the central island gave us the win.

Hope I explained the tactic good enough to see how it worked.

Yeah that sounds like it could work also. Good points. That map has alot of different strats that could be used effectively. Maybe I'll try this one some time.

But I think what Ranger was trying to point out is usually everyone Does indeed go for the middle Thus making it the main Map Choke. (I could be wrong)

Yeah after re-reading his post I realize that was the point he was making as well. I also believe because that is the choke point, it makes it easier to let the enemy, regardless of which enemy it is, "to choke on it". Then win by taking all the flags around the hill.

Re: I need the TTP Communities' help...

One other thing about the Zatar Wetlands.....if the jet is working with the ground pounders by keeping the helo from the hill from being able to take off...it definitly makes it easier to work the other flags. My son recently played a round with me and all he did was keep that helo from taking off so that the rest of the team did not have to worry about TV missels or being strafed. Again that is where the team work comes in.

    Just another thought.

I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was!
