Here are some plausible explanations:
1: You aren't compensating for recoil. Just because you deployed the PKP, doesn't mean it doesn't have a comparatively high vertical recoil.
2: You're noticing visual recoil. All weapons have more or less visual recoil than others, and visual recoil is usually independent of actual recoil (as determined by symthic.com). The Type 88 and QBZ weapons are the worst offenders with visual recoil, while the Factory Optic F2000 has absolutely none.
3: The bipod is poorly coded (STILL). Just because you deployed it, doesn't mean that it can't magically un-deploy itself, even though you haven't even done anything. Typically, being too close to a nearby object can cause your player model to get nudged, which will automatically un-deploy your bipod. Network lag can also un-deploy your bipod for you, often with no animation.
This all, of course, assumes you deployed the bipod on a valid surface first, but I figure you know what you're doing.Warflagon liked this post

Re: Pecheng Mussle Rise
I appreciate the comments but let me be more specific.
When I am shooting the Pecheng on FULL AUTO and my rounds are not hitting other players the gun stays PERFECTLY still. I mean I am shooting .50 cent piece groups. The MOMENT I START MAKING CONTACT WITH THE ENEMY THE MUZZLE RISES! This HAS TO BE programmed in by the game. It is the ONLY WAY that that will happen.
Is BF3 not wanting the shooter of the Pecheng to get points with it? Why would they program this into the software?
It is WITHOUT A DOUBT a software issue.
Kind'a reminds me of the original mini-guns on the sides of the Blackhawk early in BF2. You could wipe out THOUSANDS if they had thousands of players on a map. With progressive updates they basically neutered the mini-guns on the Blackhawks and nobody manned them.

Ironically, being deployed doesn't save you from being suppressed. If your target returns fire, it WILL kick your screen around. I'll test out the deployed PKP tomorrow though, see if I can record what you're talking about.

Ok, used the PKP while deployed. Not seeing the issue you're talking about. Optic, for some reason, does make a big difference on some weapons, and I was using the PSO-1.
