And it's cheaper if you buy Premium... You're overpaying by buying each of the DLC packs individually...

I think I paid a little more than $100 for the two. Maybe $110.

You paid $110 if I remember right you were an early adopter too.

Question: Do you feel your (at this time) 189hrs were wasted?

@guyver I can see how you would find it over priced as you aren't as invested as many bf players. I can't believe I paid like $5 for DOD:S - it is so overpriced because I hate that game. You would probably be content paying $100 for it.

It is really dependant on how much you want to spend. If you want the best of the best experience you are looking at spending upwards of $1500. However you can still get by easily with only spending $800.

Nah... I've (mostly) enjoyed my BF4 gaming experience. It's more about who I play with than anything else. That's not to say SOME of those hours may have been wasted when the servers were crashing and losing XPs. I just haven't had the time to sit down and play BF4 of late. Busy time of the year for me and the family.

We're not talking about gas or bread. We're talking about an EA game. Gas and bread aren't known for being ridiculously expensive...EA games are. Hell, there are places still charging $20 for BF 2142.

When Battlefield 2 came out it was $50. Special Forces came out a few months later at $40. Then the two booster packs followed within a year of release and were $10 bucks each. That totals $110 for all the games content. There were 30 maps total.

Right now they are on 22 maps, and on pace to reach 30 maps.

Sometimes you have to pay for quality (yes I realize some things are a little fucked but overall people still play it for a reason.)

My point is that prices increase. Gas prices have doubled in the last 10 years, as well as many other things. Game prices have been sable at around $60 stock with extra content available. If you want a premium product you pay a premium price. We are still waiting on this future DLC, which may or may not be 2143ish. Having purchased premium, I have already paid for said content. It might suck, but overall I have been very pleased with the game. 168 hours and I have been busy and not played in 2 weeks. Dice could say fuck you we arent releasing anymore DLC, and I still feel I got my monies worth. I cant wait for the new content as I have yet to be disappointed with BF4. Never played 2142 so hey some references might be lost on me but I bet the content will be fun even if I dont understand the names.

..and my point is EA is one of the few game companies who never lower prices. Their excuse is Steam sales "cheapen intellectual property" says EA Origin boss | GamesIndustry International

It has nothing to do with stuff going up, they're just flat out greedy.
