Re: 2143 Dice Troll?
Instead of stringing us along through 6 to 8 months of no new content they decided to role it all into one package and have you pay for it now in advance like a pre-order with some added benefits. Rationalized thinking tells me that's a fair deal to me but if you don't want the extra stuff you don't need to buy it to play the game. Stock game works perfectly fine and people still play it that way. I don't see a way you lose out with either choice. This whole I have to pay 110 dollars for a game is a bit ridiculous to me. Shit I can go to the bar and drop that much just on the first round of drinks but I would rather spend that money on something I can enjoy for far much longer and depending on the night sober or drunk :P.

There are indeed. As many are trying to say, people will spend $100 on games they think they will enjoy/pour a lot of hours into. I used to spend $70 on PS3 games on initial release and that was because I knew I was going to be playing them until I got my fill. Now that I don't play on console anymore I think back at how ridiculous that price was when I can buy quality games off of Steam for $10. But I don't regret buying those PS3 games at release. I played games like BlackOPS2 for thousands of hours and got well beyond my moneys worth of entertainment. I'm sure people feel the same about Battlefield and spending $100+.
You obviously like to get a deal when you buy a game and more power to you, but why should EA lower their prices just because a minority think they are being greedy? It's not like they are going to listen. Does Abercrombie&Fitch lower their ridiculous prices for pieces of clothing because the people who buy from Kohls think they are being greedy? No. Should a pair of jeans cost $150. No. But people who like A&F will continue to buy their clothing. It's business.

And for as long as I can remember video games on release day have been ~$50. I'm pretty sure N64 games were like $49.99 on release, maybe more. So they jumped up to $59.99 in a span of 20 years or so... My point is video games have always been relatively expensive.
Lmao. Posting about this made me think how much money I actually have spent on video games and accessories during my life. Consoles, games, computer(multi-use, but still), accessories, etc. I'm sure some of us have some pretty ridiculous numbers. Imagine if we never played video games and where that money would be now...
But, that is life. We do what makes us happy.Last edited by Mr_Blonde_OPS; 06-06-14 at 01:16 AM.

Guyver, you have hundreds of games in your steam library that I would be you have never even installed, let alone spent any considerable time playing. That makes their cost per hour near infinite. Others put thousands of hours into BF2, and already hundreds of hours into BF4, making the cost per hour of entertainment pennies. What else can you do for entertainment that is so cheap? Maybe a red box movie, but that's about it.

Except they do... but that would go against your whole argument so therefore, it's not possible. Guyver logic, FTW.
Looking on Origin right now...
BF3 is $5.99 and was free for a week not long ago.
BF:BC2 is $5.99
Before Gamespy went down, they were still selling BF2142 and BF2 for about the same price.
Quit speaking in hyperbole and start making a valid argument, Guyver.

Re: 2143 Dice Troll?
Ummmm:
Bought Mar. 6th 2014...it's still in my gift inventory too. Maybe I should have not said never, but as you can see, BC2 cheaper on Steam. As for BF3..how long did it take EA to start giving out free games? Valve has been doing for years. The only thing Origin has going for it is it's a faster client, and you can get refunds if you don't like a game.
Almost every game on Origins front page can be had cheaper from Steam (or other places)....with the only exception being BF3 and ME3 (because you can't get those on Steam).
Hell, you can buy an Origin game key cheaper on Amazon, GMG, or Humble than you can buying the game in Origin.
