Thread: DMR Changes

I hope this makes them good. It is such a pain in the ass to play with DMRs. They just suck right now.

I keep trying to use them and keep rage quitting back to assault rifles. DMRs have just been outclassed in my experience. You can get nearly the same accuracy with an AR with quality attachments and it takes just as many rounds to drop your target.

These changes cant come soon enough. I am so ready for this stuff and over the crappy state it is in right now.

DMRS are going to be my new favourite again. I LOVE the SKS. I kill fast with it now, if they give me better hit-reg it'll only make for more fun. Salty, try running the SKS like this: Close range scope + 2X magnifier (I like the kobra), Muzzle brake and angled grip.

It doesn't seem like anything has actually changed with the DMRs in the CTE. It's more the fact that you don't have to deal with visual recoil anymore, something that all DMRs have a very high amount of. This lets you speed up your shots while staying accurate, resulting in a lowered TTK, making the weapon seem better.

I do pretty damn well with DMRs. They're not as all-purpose as a compensated M4 or a slow firing assault rifle, they still get the job done at nearly twice my average accuracy.

I also saw a revive timer above one of his dead buddies at the end. Thank god.

They changed the bullet velocity or so DICE says. September is when all of these changes are supposed to happen and it can't happen soon enough.

The M39 was my top killing weapon in BF3 and it still hasnt changed for BF4.

The reduction in visual recoil has helped a lot. What I am not looking forward to is the drop in damage. In BF3 the M39 and similiar rifles were 2 shot kills at most ranges. In BF4 it turns into 3 at medium to longer ranges. If the damage drops more itll just be faster and more efficient to use a rifle like the M16 or M416 instead.

With that said Iv gone for a more unorthodox fit for my recon using a FLIR scoped m39 and smoke grenades equipped. Maps like metro and locker are mine to own.

If it works for you I guess keep at it but damn to me that sounds like playing beach volleyball with a steel bikini on.

I will stick to my AWS.
