I'll never forget the first weekend when the dayZ arma2 mod was released and we encountered our first group firefight. I've never experienced dread or cold sweaty palms in a video game before, not like that.
I would definitely say arma can be a stressful game, but I think it's a different kind of stressful

Re: BF4 - Fall Patch and Teamplay Initiative
First engagement in Day Z pretty much made me have a panic attack. I remember it well, I had spent 20 hrs learning the game and searching for a gun. I was with Texan, Merritt and Scott, we were located in Barenzino, approaching from the top (heading through the whole town towards the military base). I had an enfield with 3 rounds in it, the rest had AK's and variants of AK's. We were in the town (near the hospital), when Texan drops. Merritt calls out the location, but early on I sucked really bad at that and was facing the wrong direction, Suddenly theres Texan, hes made into the hospital and is bandaging... Merritts nowhere to be seen, I've spotted a zed, then 3, then more... They're beelining to us. Merritt suddenly says we've gotta move fast! We book it, I have no idea that theres a bandit crew of 4-5 hunting us. I hear cracks, whizzes and pops (I didn't know the difference back then they all sounded atrocious). We end up hightailing it to the military compound then to the apartments East of it, gun fire ensues, Merritt and I drop, Texan escapes (I believe). I come to I see this guy with an AK and a bandit mask. Then the loading screen.
So damn scary I was instantly hooked. Still to this day conflicts in that game get me excited.SourceSkills liked this post

Re: BF4 - Fall Patch and Teamplay Initiative
I remember the first time I killed someone in that game. I felt so sorry for the guy because if it had happened to me I would have felt pretty bad about myself. It was such a tense situation. I was at solnichney factory when I heard a pistol go off. It scared the shit out of me because it was right outside the building I was in. I quickly ran for it to the top of the building. It had a ladder to get to the roof so I climbed it and waited for the guy to go away. I of course only had an axe by the way. So instead of going away the guy must have heard me and decided to end me for some reason I couldn't tell you why. He storms up the stairs like I did and looks around but he doesn't see me. So guess what he does! He starts climbing the ladder! So I walk over and axe him in the face! Fear turned into elation and the adrenalin had made my hands cold. I was so excited plus I had a gun do I was feeling pretty good. I have been hooked to Arma and DayZ ever since.
But enough about that I plan on playing some CTE to check out what changes they have done in the last few weeks. I think they put that new vehicle kill system in so I will give that a go.

I am still laughing my ass off when i think about the six hackers Texan have killed with satchel charges at same time. And me shooting their pilot with a AS50, only to be teleported in to the ocean seconds after that.
Ah the memories.

My official consensus: this patch actually made me worse at the game. It takes me significantly more time to kill and my accuracy has tanked pretty badly. The combination of which is probably fucking me over at medium range. I guess it's time for other people to take the lead.
