Tallroth actually uses the Ace 52 CQB on occasion and he does pretty average with it. The 870MCS is just one of the few shotguns that is reliable. I've actually won against him when he had the element of surprise because his spread decided to fuck him over (as it does us all from time to time).

The MTAR21, ACE, M249, and Bulldog were my goto weapons prior to the patch.
Now, the M416 is my AR of choice. The MTAR21 is still viable but I find myself just as effective with a PDW now so I usually default to that. I try and use the spas12 more often but it doesn't seem any better or worse since the patchmaximusboomus liked this post

After having some time to get a real good handle on a lot of weapons, I've come to revise my choices.
The QBZ series is completely absurd when you add a heavy barrel. Their base recoil negates the recoil increase, and if you add an angled/folding grip to the AR/Carbine, you can pick off head-glitchers at medium range, something I would never dream of doing with an L85 or F2000. The 95B (carbine) in particular melds the best of every world by having amazing hip fire, moving accuracy, standing accuracy, and recoil. Its only downside is the carbine damage model.
I've come to flip-flop around with the A-91 though. It feels really solid, but it lacks at mid-range with a 1x compared to the SG553, which I'll be test-running soon. I would never discount the weapon though, as it still kicks ass.
And, after getting in some pretty extensive use with the DMRs, I realized I would rather have a QBZ and pick a closer, better fight. They're great at long range, but at mid-range you can be out-shot by anyone with an AR, or anyone spamming their carbine. Close range? Forget about it."In matters of style, swim with the currents... in matters of principle, stand like a rock."
